Collins Dictionary names ‘permacrisis’ its word of the year for 2022

‘Permacrisis’ is a word that describes the feeling of life in a period of war, inflation and political instability.

Collins Dictionary representative Alex Beecroft stressed that this word best sums up "how truly awful 2022 has been for so many people".
