Greece to assist Odesa's reconstruction

Greece will take the initiative in the reconstruction and recovery of Odesa.

This was stated by Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening video address.

"The decision is not only meaningful but also very symbolic. It is filled with many historical and cultural senses," the President of Ukraine said.

During the attack on the night of August 14, the Russian army damaged approximately ten blocks of historic buildings in Odesa's Central Historic Area.

On July 23, during the shelling of Odesa, Russia damaged 29 cultural heritage sites.
