Polish farmers protesting on the border with Ukraine dumped grain from Ukrainian trucks
Dorohusk, Poland (Svidomi) — Polish farmers protesting on the border with Ukraine emptied grain from three Ukrainian trucks that had entered Poland, RMF reports.
"Three trucks driven by Ukrainian citizens entered Poland after customs procedures. The protesters did not allow them to continue driving and, at some point, opened the semi-trailers, causing some of the grain to pour out onto the road. The drivers then drove back to Ukraine," said Ewa Czyż, a spokeswoman for the Chełm police.
The police are investigating the incident.
It will be recalled that on February 9, farmers from all over Poland began a demonstration that is likely to last 30 days. The protesters will block roads and border crossings.
