Russia recalibrates its air defence system around Moscow to defend against drone attacks

Russian authorities have deployed new air defence systems around Moscow to protect it against possible drone attacks.

The press service of the UK Ministry of Defence reported this.

"This is almost certainly to allow the system to detect and engage UAV-type targets. However, it is probably also intended to act as a high-profile reassurance to the public that the authorities have the threat under control," the British intelligence report said.

According to intelligence, the Russian Federation has deployed Pantsir anti-aircraft artillery systems on the roofs of official buildings in Moscow.

It will be recalled that on September 7, Russian authorities reported drone attacks on Moscow, Rostov, and the Bryansk region.

In Moscow, a drone was allegedly shot down near the Zhukov airfield. Windows in some buildings were smashed.
