Russian hockey players from the CSKA Moscow club take to ice bearing Z-symbols
Russian hockey players from the CSKA Moscow club have taken to the ice wearing uniforms with the letter "Z", thus supporting Russia's war against Ukraine.
The club's press service published a corresponding post.
In this way, they allegedly wanted to honour the mercenaries from the Española battalion taking part in the war against Ukraine.
This battalion consists of Russian football fans. Its founder was a representative of the fan movement of the CSKA football club Stanislav Orlov.
Orlov has been fighting against Ukraine since 2014. He formed the battalion in 2022. The name comes from his nickname in fan circles - Ispanets (Spaniard).
