Russian shelling of Mykolaiv kills one civilian on the night of October 15
On the night of October 15, Russia fired 7 S-300/400 anti-aircraft guided missiles, two X-59 guided missiles, and 17 combat drones at Ukraine. The Air Force reported the downing of 12 combat drones in the Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Odesa, Poltava, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, and Cherkasy regions, and four more drones lost radar contact.
In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia to the east, the Russians shelled Podoly and Kivsharivka. The regional military administration reports no casualties.
In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russian army struck 1893 times at Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Siversk, Zakitne, Riznykivka, and Shakhtarske. Twenty-two residential buildings, a hospital, and an educational institution were damaged. Five civilians were injured.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region in south-central Ukraine, the Russians shelled Nikopol and the community of Chervonohryhorivka with combat drones and Grad multiple rocket launchers. A sanatorium, a five-story building, three private houses, a car, and a power line were damaged. The regional military administration reports no casualties.
In the Zaporizhzhia region in the south, partially occupied in the south since 2022, the Russians struck 366 times at Lobkove, Prymorske, Huliaipole, Robotyne, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne, Shcherbaky, and Novoandriivka. The local police reported no casualties.
In the Mykolaiv region in the south of Ukraine, the Russians shelled Mykolaiv with S-300 missiles. An infrastructure facility, a restaurant complex, trade pavilions, residential buildings, and cars were damaged. Fires broke out, and emergency operations are ongoing. Twenty-three civilians were injured, and one civilian was killed. The Russians also shelled the community of Kutsurub with FPV combat drones and the town of Lyman with artillery. In the Odesa region in the south of Ukraine, the Russians fired a ballistic missile at the port infrastructure in Odesa. Civilian vessels and a grain warehouse were damaged. Eight civilians were injured, and one was killed.
In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russians shelled Semenivka and the community of Horodnia. The regional military administration reports no casualties.
