Seven people injured, including a child, in Sumy, which was attacked by Russians on the night of March 6 — Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine

On the night of March 6, Russian troops attacked regions of Ukraine with S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles and Shahed attack drones.
The Ukrainian Air Force shot down 38 of the 42 Russian drones in the Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, and Sumy regions.
In the Kharkiv region, which borders Russia to the east, the Russian army attacked approximately 20 settlements. The Russians attacked villages and towns with UAVs, artillery, and mortars. In Kurylivka, Kupiansk district, a 58-year-old woman was killed by shelling.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russians attacked the Nikopol district three times, bordering the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region across the Dnipro River. The Russians used kamikaze drones and heavy artillery. Ukrainian air defence systems shot down a Russian drone over the Dnipro district. There were no casualties.
Russians launched 328 attacks on six towns and villages in the Zaporizhzhia region in the south of Ukraine. The Russian army used multiple launch rocket systems, aerial missiles, drones and artillery. Residential buildings and infrastructure were destroyed. There were no casualties.
The Russian army attacked at least 20 settlements in the de-occupied Kherson region. Multi-storey buildings and private homes were damaged. In Kherson, the shelling damaged critical infrastructure, a museum, a creative centre and cars. There were also hits to the port infrastructure and the territory of the park. Two people were injured.
In the Mykolaiv region, which has access to the Black Sea, Russians shelled the waters of the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities with artillery. There were no casualties.
The Russians once again attacked the Odesa region in the south of Ukraine, where the seaport infrastructure is located. Ukrainian air defence destroyed 18 Shahed-131/136 drones during the attack. There were no civilian casualties. Drones hit industrial facilities in the coastal zone. In the Odesa region, a recreational facility, a gas pipeline, and private homes were damaged by falling debris.
In the Khmelnytskyi region in the west of Ukraine, Ukrainian air defence systems shot down six Russian "shaheds". The Russian attack damaged an infrastructure facility. Some localities were left without electricity. A private house was damaged. There were no civilian casualties.
The Russian army attacked the border communities of Semenivka, Novhorod-Siverskyi and Snovsk in the Chernihiv region, which borders Belarus and Russia to the north. Ukrainian border guards recorded more than 50 explosions from mortars and cannon artillery. Nine villages in the region came under Russian fire.
On the night of March 6, Russians attacked Sumy in the north of Ukraine. Three UAV hits were recorded: one on a critical infrastructure facility and two on civilian objects. Seven people were wounded, including a 10-year-old boy. Rescue teams are working on the spot. In total, 13 communities in the region bordering Russia came under fire from the Russian army. Two hundred sixty-nine explosions were recorded. One man was injured in the Seredyna-Buda community.
