Three Russian films to be screened at Ca' Foscari Film Festival in Venice

The Short Film Festival at Ca' Foscari University in Venice plans to screen three Russian films whose creators collaborate with propaganda channels — Anastasiia Tchaikovska, a university student to Svidomi.
Ukrainian students have already asked the organisers to remove the Russian films, but they refused.
Among the films to be shown are:
- Aglaya, s Rozhdestvom! - Aglaya Merry Christmas! by Elizaveta Verkhovenskaya, representing the Moscow Film School, whose website says their students work for Russian propaganda channels.
- Pererug by Mikhail Boreisha. The actors and the producer of this film publicly support the war, collaborating with propagandists and cultural figures. One of the actors organises meetings for the LPR militants and calls for the killing of Ukrainians. Anastasiia Tchaikovska provided the relevant screenshots to the Svidomi online media.
The Fugitive by Salome Kintsurashvili. The director's husband is a member of the board of directors of Tashir Holding, a Gazprom-affiliated company. According to the Directorate of Intelligence, his father, Samvel Karapetyan, is one of the sponsors of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
