We need financial support
Hello, Svidomi!
I am Nastia, the CEO and founder of the media outlet.
We have just recently celebrated the 5th anniversary of Svidomi, but now we are not sure whether we will exist next year.
In 2018, I started a blog for my friends with the sole purpose of explaining to them what is happening in Ukraine and the world. In 2023, we will continue this goal as a full-fledged media outlet, but we still need your financial support.
We changed the format twice, we changed the team several times, we worked during the pandemic, and we worked around the clock in the first months of the full-scale invasion to keep our readers informed. Our journalists travelled to more than 20 cities in southern and eastern Ukraine to bring you the best stories. Last year, we launched our podcasts, including "Where Are We?" on decolonisation, which won this year's Slushno Award. Thanks to our collaboration with Illia Poludionnyi in April, we published our first investigation into Spartak Subbota, which was viewed by over 420,000 people. Finally, in November, we organised the forum "Ask the Media: censorship, trust and all about the work of the media outlet", attended by around 30 Ukrainian media professionals and nearly 200 people.
We have done our best to provide the best possible content for our readers, and now we are asking for your support to ensure the stable operation of the media outlet for the following year.
Knowing the importance of supporting our Armed Forces, we first approached foundations and organisations. We are actively working to attract various forms of support, but for now, we have to rely on your trust and love, dear readers.
You can support our media with a small monthly subscription via LiqPay or Patreon or by donating via PayPal. For those who support us every month, we develop our community with various benefits for its members.
It is not easy to ask for financial help, but we believe in your support because you trust us. On the occasion of the birthday of our media, our reader, Anastasia Singaievska, shared a story about how Svidomi was very helpful in organising protests in the Czech Republic: "Svidomi's analytical material was the beginning of our acquaintance with pro-Russian movements in the Czech Republic and the disinformation scene. This material was the impetus for independent research."
We want more stories like this. We want to continue to work for our readers and bring truthful information to the world.
Please support us!
Thank you!
Yours sincerely,
Anastasia Bakulina
