European Defence Agency signs first contracts for joint procurement of ammunition for Ukraine

The European Defence Agency has signed the first eight contracts for the joint procurement of 155 mm ammunition for Ukraine.

The press service of the European Defence Agency reported this.

These are contracts for the supply of ammunition for self-propelled howitzers, which EU member states have transferred to Ukraine: France's Caesar, Poland's Krab, Germany's Panzerhaubitze 2000, and Slovakia's Zuzana.

The European Defence Agency will not disclose the names of the contractors and prices.

These framework contracts were signed as part of a three-track approach to supply more artillery ammunition and missiles to Ukraine, agreed by the EU Council in March 2023.
