~Russia illegally detains 25,000 Kremlin prisoners
Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, this is the number of civilians abducted by the Russian Federation.
The ZMINA Human Rights Centre has found that at least 21 prisoners require urgent medical care and may die unless they receive it.
During the full-scale invasion, the National Police began investigating the enforced disappearance of 8,800 people. Russian Children's Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova claims Russia has illegally abducted over 700,000 children from Ukraine.
The Media Initiative for Human Rights has identified about one hundred places where abducted civilians are held.
The Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Qırım) confirms 218 illegally imprisoned Ukrainian citizens, 133 of whom are Qırımtatarlar.

Kremlin prisoner Arsen Abkhaiirov stayed in prison longer than his sentence by mistake
Arsen Abkhaiirov, a member of the Red Guard group Hizb ut-Tahrir, stayed in prison No. 2 in Yeniseisk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, for 2.5 months longer due to an error in the court's explanation.
His lawyer, Edem Semedliaiev, informed Crimean Solidarity.
In its explanation, the Southern District Military Court stated that Abkhaiirov would be in prison starting from November 30, not from November 3. This led to misinterpretations by the prison and the court.
In January 2024, the man was transferred from the Yenisei prison to a colony in the Republic of Buryatia. He sought to have the court clarify his prison sentence and correct the mistakes from September 2023.
The court also made a mistake in stating that the letter accompanying the court's clarification was being sent to Artur, not Arsen Abkhaiirov.
"Arsen spent the extra two and a half months in stricter conditions of detention, received fewer parcels, was allowed fewer visits and calls home," Edem Semedliaiev noted.
The lawyer said that they would file an administrative lawsuit.
It will be recalled that the members of the Red Guard group were detained on February 14, 2019. On November 3, 2020, the Southern District Military Court sentenced the defendants in the case, Rustem Emiruseiinov, to 17 years imprisonment, Eskender Abdulganiiev — to 12 years, and Arsen Abkhaiirov — to 13 years.
Arsen Abkhaiirov was supposed to spend the first two years of his sentence in prison, considering the period of pre-trial detention. However, his time in the pre-trial detention centre was not included in his prison term.
Crimean 'court' illegally 'sentences' two Ukrainian border guards from Azovstal to 17 years in prison
The so-called 'Supreme Court of Crimea' has sentenced border guards from Azovstal Ivan Tereshchenko and Vasyl Dmytruk to 17 years behind bars.
The Crimean Human Rights Group reports.
The decision was made by "judge" Sergey Pogrebnyak. The prisoners will "have" to serve the first three years in prison and then in a strict regime penal colony.
Vasyl Dmytruk is a lieutenant captain of a coastguard ship, and Ivan Tereshchenko is a senior midshipman and commander of the electromechanical service on a border guard ship.
On March 25, 2018, the men detained the Russian-flagged, Crimean-registered fishing vessel Nord. On May 16, 2022, both were taken prisoner by Russia after they left Azovstal on the order of their commander.
Ivan Tereshchenko was sent to Olenivka, then to Horlivka, and from there, he was transferred to Detention Centre No. 2 in Simferopol (Aqmescit). The man has been in Qırım since at least August 31, 2023.
Tereshchenko and Dmytruk were accused of kidnapping a person and a water transport vessel in relation to the events of 2018 in the Sea of Azov.
The crew of the Nord returned to Crimea on October 30, 2018. The occupiers stated that they had exchanged the sailors for the crews of the Ukrainian ship YaMK-0041 and the YaOd 21-05 ship detained in Crimea.
Russians detain a man in Crimea for allegedly participating in a Crimean Tatar battalion
Russian security forces have detained a man for allegedly participating in the Crimean Tatar Noman Çelebicihan Battalion.
The Russian FSS press service reports.
"In 2015, the detainee joined the formation, which was deployed on the territory of Ukraine, and performed functional duties on checking persons and vehicles at checkpoints on the border between Ukraine and Russia, as well as guarding its facilities," TASS quoted the agency as saying.
The man faces up to 15 years of illegal imprisonment.
The head of the Crimean Tatar Resource Centre, Eskender Bariiev, said in an interview with Suspilne that Russians are holding at least 33 Ukrainians who are accused of involvement in the Noman Çelebicihan Battalion.
Russia's FSS added the Noman Çelebicihan Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion to the list of "terrorist organisations" in 2022.
Six illegally detained activists from Bağçasaray will remain in detention until November 2024
The Southern District Military Court has extended the term of detention for activists from the fifth Bağçasaray group of Hizb ut-Tahrir.
Crimean Solidarity quotes lawyer Emil Kurbedinov as saying.
This refers to Seidamet Mustafaiev, Remzi Nimetulaiev, Abdulmedzhit Seitumerov, Ametkhan Umerov, Ruslan Asanov and Eldar Yakubov, who will stay in the pre-trial detention centre until November 24, 2024
The court rejected all the defence motions, including the one to return the case to the prosecutor.
"This case does not stand up to any criticism, and we have substantiated our position in detail," said lawyer Kurbedinov.
On August 24, 2023, the Russian FSS broke into the homes of six Crimean Tatars, who had previously been repeatedly detained at rallies in support of other illegally detained Crimean Tatars.
Crimean political prisoner Farkhod Bazarov refuses to participate in the war against Ukraine
Crimean Tatar, a political prisoner from the second Simferopol group in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case, Farkhod Bazarov, refused to participate in the Russian war against Ukraine.
His wife, Fatime Yanikova, informed QIRIM.News.
The man is illegally detained in a prison in the city of Balashov, Saratov region of Russia. The prisoner's wife noted that although those convicted of so-called terrorist articles are not taken to the "special military operation", her husband was offered this.
Currently, the Kremlin prisoner Farkhod Bazarov is awaiting transfer from the Balashov prison, from where he was supposed to be taken on 30 May. His destination is not known.
Fatime Yanikova also said that she had planned to visit her husband with her son in May 2024.
"All our four children have my surname. Farkhod and I are not married, we only entered into nikkah (legal agreement of an Islamic marriage for Muslim couples — ed.), so there is no stamp on my passport. Because of this, I do not have the right to visit. We changed the passport of our eldest son and now his surname is Bazarov. And I can visit Farkhod with my son as the boy's guardian," the wife said.
