Sweden started presidency in the Council of the EU

One of the priorities of the country is to support Ukraine and overcome the consequences of Russian aggression.
"Sweden's presidency will prioritize continuing economic and military support for Ukraine, as well as supporting Ukraine's path to the EU," the Swedish presidency program description says.
The country will preside over the EU Council in the first half of 2023. Before it, the Czech Republic presided for six months.
